Privacy Policy

PURPOSE

This policy is formulated and developed to understand, uphold and protect the privacy and security of personal information of individuals, including employees as well as end users in customer organisations who use the products or services provided by Informist Data and Analytics Private Limited (“Informist”). This privacy policy explains how Informist will collect, use, protect, disclose and store Personal Information.

APPLICABILITY

This Privacy Policy applies to all Personal Information that Informist collects both online and offline through its various products and services, including the Informist Credit Standard, the website, the mobile app, and any new Product or Service that Informist may offer in future (collectively, referred to as “Services”) and also through any Subscription Forms and long- form customer agreements executed with customers of Informist products and services.

Personal Data is collected, received, used, disclosed, shared, transferred and stored when needed to provide Services and for operational and business purposes only.

TYPE OF PERSONAL DATA COLLECTED

Personal Data is the data related to a natural individual or an organisation. For example:

• Subscriber Organization Name, Address, Phone Number, Email,
• End-User First Name,
• End-User Last Name,
• End-User Title, Department, Function,
• End-User Phone Number,
• End-User Cell Phone Number,
• End-User Email Address,
• End-User Postal Address.

COLLECTION AND RECEIPT OF PERSONAL DATA

Informist may collect and receive personal data in a variety of ways:

• Subscriber Organization Name, Address, Phone Number, Email,
• At the time of registration for a trial
• At the time of login and use of Informist Credit Standard,
• At the time of executing a Subscription Form (Order Form),
• At the time of executing a long-form customer agreement,
• At the time of providing training to new or existing End-Users or,
• While updating its database,
• While issuing mobile/data card connection in Company name (as mandated by Department of Telecom)

Informist servers automatically collect certain information in an application log to help administer and protect the Services, troubleshoot technical issues and improve users’ experience. The information collected includes:

• For Credit Standard: Informist User name, Password, User Group Port, IP Address, Credit Standard version, System name, Phone name, MAC address, Operation System, Last Login date etc.
• For Mobile Application: Informist User name, User group, User Country, email address in case user makes alerts and decided to receive a notification email, User IP, etc.

USAGE OF PERSONAL DATA

The Personal Data which Informist collects from you is held and used in accordance with applicable terms and conditions in the Subscription Forms/ Customer Agreement to facilitate End-Users’ use of Services and also in accordance with applicable laws and regulations in India.

Informist will use Personal Data:

• To conduct sales/ account management and contract process,
• To verify identity before providing Services,
• To provide requested offers on Services,
• To deliver Services, including training, in accordance with Subscription Forms/ Customer Agreements,
• To enable users to access and use the Services,
• To respond to any technical, product or service related queries,
• As required by applicable law, legal process or regulation, or other legal obligations imposed by public authorities,
• To keep you informed about new Services or Products,
• To communicate with Customers/Trial Users by responding to requests, comments and questions,
• To send emails or other communications. Informist may send service related, technical and other administrative emails, messages and other type of communications. Any changes in our Services and important Service-related notices will also be communicated by Informist. These communications are considered part of the Services, without an option to opt out
• To process orders, invoicing, payments and other financial follow-up,
• To investigate and help prevent security issues and misuse of data or software from vendors (including exchanges and authorised third-party data, non-data information, news, analytical tools, or software providers),
• To carry out any activity as required by any government and regulatory authority or any Court of Law.

DISCLOSURE OF PERSONAL DATA

To stock exchanges/Authorised third party data suppliers:
In order to provide the Products and Services to Customers/Trial Users, Informist receives content from third parties and stock exchanges. Such exchanges or vendors of market data or third party content providers may require Informist to disclose certain information about its customers/trial users, details of the Services etc., for compliance and invoicing purposes. The stock exchanges and third parties are contractually obligated to ensure privacy and security of such personal information/data provided to them by Informist.

In the event of ownership or management change:
If Informist engages in a merger, acquisition, bankruptcy, dissolution, reorganization, sale of some or all of its assets or stock, financing, public offering of securities, acquisition of all or a portion of its business, a similar transaction or proceeding, or steps in contemplation of such activities (e.g. due diligence), some or all Personal Information may be shared or transferred, subject to standard confidentiality arrangements that recipients of the data have to execute including restrictions on the use of such data.

To comply with laws:
If Informist receives a request for Information, it may disclose Personal Information if there is reasonable cause to believe that such disclosure is in accordance with or required by any applicable law, regulation, legal process or by any regulatory or legal authority.

To enforce rights, prevent fraud and for safety:
To protect and defend the rights, property or safety of Informist of third parties, including enforcing contracts or policies, or in connection with verification of Identity, investigating and preventing fraud or security issues.

RETENTION OF YOUR PERSONAL INFORMATION

In accordance with applicable laws, Informist will use your Personal Information for as long as it is necessary to satisfy the requirements/obligations under the Subscription Forms/Customer Agreements and/or agreements with stock exchanges/third party data suppliers or software providers or to comply with applicable legal requirements for the time being in force.

SECURITY

Informist takes best measures for ensuring security of your data. Informist works hard to protect the personal information that you provide, from loss, misuse and unauthorised access and disclosure. The transmission of information via the Internet is, unfortunately, not completely secure and although Informist does its best to protect your Personal Information, Informist cannot guarantee the security of the data during transmission through our websites/apps.

Who can access your Personal Information?
Your data will be accessed by authorized personnel only on a need to know basis depending on the purpose for which your Personal Information is collected (e.g by sales managers/account managers, subscription/support team, accounts team etc.). All the authorized personnel are obligated to protect the confidentiality and security of the Personal Information as per Informist’s Code of Conduct and confidentiality policies.

It is important that you also play a role by being vigilant and keeping your Personal Information safe and secure. While accessing any Informist product/service, do not reveal your assigned credentials to anyone. You are responsible for keeping the credentials confidential and should not allow any unauthorized access to the Informist Credit Standard or other Informist product and services you may be using.

RIGHT TO REVIEW

You may send a request to subscriptions@informistdata.com in case you wish to review the information provided by you and to inform us of any addition/modification/correction to the same. We process information provided by you on an as is basis only and have no responsibility to authenticate the Personal Information provided by you.

CHANGES TO THIS PRIVACY POLICY

Informist reserves the right to amend/change this Privacy Policy from time to time based on changes in any applicable laws, regulations and evolving industry and business standards. You are encouraged to review our Privacy Policy on our website from time to time to stay informed. If you disagree with any part of this Privacy Policy, you and Informist both reserve the right to deactivate the Subscription.
